| Event Description: | The Reentry Transition Center (RTC) team is pleased to announce that we have now settled into our new location and we would like to invite you to our open house! When: Thursday, March 18th from 2pm-6pm. Where: 1818 NE Martin Luther King (where MLK and Grand meet, caddy corner to Albina Community Bank. We are in the same building as Well Planned, so look for their sign). What: The RTC provides systematic coordination of information and resources combined with ongoing support for people who have recently released from prison or jail. By supporting successful reentry, the RTC intends to reduce recidivism, increase public safety, decrease demand on the law enforcement and judicial systems, and lower the skyrocketing costs of incarceration. Please note that parking is limited. We recommend parking on the side streets just east of the RTC: NE Tillamook, NE Hancock or NE Schuyler. The RTC is also accessible by bus lines # 6 and # 9. The Center has a large conference room (16' x 25') ideal for community meetings and events that we would like to make available to you all. Our hope is that the Center will become a community center.
