Volunteers are essential to our experiential field trips and service-learning projects.

The 90 minute to 3 hour field trips provide visiting youth with opportunities to learn about:
- Sustainable farming practices
- Healthy soils
- Botany
- Wetland ecology
- Insects
- Compost
- Chickens
- Red Wiggler Worms
- Honey Bees
- Fresh food

Commitment: We ask that our Field Trip Volunteers commit to help lead about one field trip per week, March though early June (two to four volunteer hours a week).

Training: Volunteers are asked to attend our one day training Friday, February 26th from 9:30 - 2:30.
At the training we will:
- Learn about Zenger Farm and how to lead outdoor experiential education programs
- Discuss the fine art of behavior management
- Add depth and understanding to local flora, fauna and sustainable farming
- Pet chickens and check out worms, bees and native animals
